TEENS TIMES – THE BURNING DUMP
Sara wrote an article for Teen Times describing the way the smoking dump was affecting her life and asking for support for her T-shirt fundraiser.
DONATION TO NATURE FOUNDATION NGO
Sara designed a logo and printed t-shirts which she then sold with the help of friends and volunteers. Breathe Better Air eventually was able to donate $1000 to the Nature Foundation on September 6th, 2019 from the funds raised; Sara and the Breathe Better Air Volunteers received Certificates of Appreciation from the Nature Foundation
DAILY HERALD ISSUE OF THE YEAR
Sara’s work was mentioned on the front page and in the first paragraph of the Daily Herald’s Issue of the Year. The article mentioned her motivation and the work she did with Breathe Better Air in raising awareness to the smoking Dump’s health effects.
As the Governor of St Maarten’s emissary Sara was invited to participate in Sint Maarten’s Memorial Day Ceremonies where she read an excerpt from a book by a famous Veteran.
As the Governor of St Maarten’s emissary, Sara was invited to participate in Sint Maarten’s Flag Day where she acted as Master of Ceremonies.
